Hello Toorak and others

I emailed the Scottish Field setter who replied "You're quite right, I missed out the 'Y' (of Oratory) and the clue didn't make sense".

I'm now stuck on the June edition " Substantial content, in a nut" *E*T. If the answer is MEAT, why?

The edible part of a nut is called the meat.
If a topic has 'meat' then it is substantial.
Because meat is a substantial content and nut meat is what is inside a nut.

Thanks, Mamyalynne, trust you to know the answer! Do you remember that clue about Oratory that nobody could parse?

Thanks Dannyk13, I knew that the Answerbankers would 'crack' it!
I do remember it and I'm glad you got some feedback about the error, without that you remain convinced it was you as the solver.

PS How about "Poles against platforms" Appears to be ANTIPODES, but is 'pode' slang for a podium?
It's another word for podium:-
