Little Tigs is going to be 11 this month and I've decided on getting him a mobile. I want one which is fairly basic and under £200 for pay-as-you-go. Would like some recommendations please.

He will be, Parsley. So if he's on 4G he will be charged?
Not necessarily, as long as he doesn't exceed his data allowance, he will be fine. Whenever he is connected to either yours or his dad's WiFi it is free, as is surfing the net.
>>> So when he goes to stay at his dad's in Essex, it will cost him?

Not if he connects his phone to his dad's wi-fi. Whatsapp itself is always free. It's only data carried over the mobile phone network that gets charged for. (So you can use Whatsapp without incurring any charges anywhere that there's free wi-fi, such as in McDonald's). However, if someone is using a 'bundle' then all data up to a prescribed limit is included anyway, so there won't be any additional charges unless that (usually very generous) data limit is exceeded.

If your son will be playing LOTS (and I really do mean LOTS!) of online video games and/or streaming LOTS of YouTube videos, your best option would be to seek out an 'unlimited data' deal. (You can get an unlimited data 'bundle' with Asda Mobile for £20 per month). Otherwise looking for a deal with a fairly generous data allowance (such as the 10 GB that I get per month for a tenner) should suffice.

At one time it was much, much cheaper to go for a contract rather than to use PAYG but these days, with many phone service providers offering really good value 'bundles', it can actually be a lot cheaper to use PAYG.

I think I'm going to go with 10gb deal for the time being. He's got his tablet to use for gaming and he's on Roblox most of the time.
i bought exactly the same phone Chris for £147.99, and by the looks it the same case.

no it is OK - construct a finite set ( of phones silly!) - order them, so there must be a least element and off you go!

if you dont like that construct a function where ech phone poitns to an element of another set of numbers ( the prices silly!) - and THAT can be ordered

find the least number and see which one that points to....

jesus the time ! this is called the British Museum apaproach and is very time consuming.

I could have watched my favourtie my little pony movie five times during tthe time it takes !

PS if you dont understand this - - ask your 11 y old....
PP, no 11 year old or even Einstein himself could understand that post.
