The first paid job I ever did, at the age of 16 (between 5th form and 6th form) was in a pork pie factory. The bushes next to the work's canteen were covered in big, fat, hairy caterpillars. Can you guess where a lot of them ended up?

We were very selective though. They were only ever added into the pies destined for M&S customers ;-)

Talking about hairy caterpillars,you never see them anymore.As youngsters we used to rub them against our faces to tickle us,next day we would come out in a rash...didnt stop us from tickling our faces with them however.I havent seen a hairy caterpillar for about 40 years,are they all extinct?

I can't recall seeing many caterpillars at all during the past few years ;-)

Sad to say,Buenchico,but i never see ladybirds anymore,i never see butterflies anymore,even houseflies seem to be extinct,no bumblebees either.Us humans are responsible for this.Once these wee beasties all die out,can we humans be far behind?

i have seen butterflies in the local park, as well as flies, bugs of many descriptions.
