What should i do? I purchased a house in FL back in September last year, In November i received the tax bill for the full year. I tried to contact the seller but he's been ignoring my calls and text. How do i get him to pay his portion since i only lived there for 3 months out of that year.

If FL is Florida, then I don't think we can help you much. This is a UK based website.
Is FL florida? Not sure we have many experts on US law here as its mainly UK members
Contact a Flawyer to get him/her to send a letter.
the change of ownership must be recorded somewhere
use this and write to the authorities who are taxing you, that you are only liable for the three months

I do this proactively - England - but it depends on all sorts of local FL rules such as possibly the person resident on X date is liable for the whole year - - we dont collect taxes from other people in England and have no powers to
Yeah but no but there is a general rule that you are not usually liable for someone else's taxes

(Ground Rent is claimable from a successor BUT it is usual to indemnify the new buyer)
