Hi, any advice would be really greatly appreciated.
Do us grandparents have any rights at all?
I've had my grandson every weekend since he was born. (He's 11 month old)
The last few months ive been having him 3/4 days a week.
Last week his mum decided she'd had enough she wanted to go out let her hair down and have fun! Told her id have my grandson, the day i was supposed to take him back she messaged can i keep him another night, they was just over a week ago and i still have him! I've asked if i can keep him long term while she sorts herself out and she said yes, that was yesterday, now she's saying she wants him back now! I've been warned if i get social services involved she'll stop me seeing him! And apart from her going out and not really bonding with my grandson he is looked after.
I absolutely adore my grandson, he's just everything, im just living day to day waiting does she want him back, doesn't she.

You want the best for your grandson beaubb. Keep doing all you can for him for as long as it takes. He is relying on you only now & he will appreciate all youve done for him as he grows. Stay safe, both of you.

Tamborine thankyou x
I absolutely understand ive asked for advice and maybe through emotions not worded things right but some comments have floored me
how do you look after him3/4 days a week and work FT?
To me the Obvious way forward is to talk to the mum and dad (face to face, not on the phone/by text)
take no notice beau. Youve reared your children and know best what your grandson needs. SSecurity wont care for him as much as you do.
LOL social security wont care for him at all. Social services might.
But even then i doubt it - they'll probabaly put in parenting support for the parents

I work 12 hour's monday to thursday, rotating weekly but took all my holiday days to have my grandson these last 3 week's.
I do talk to them face to face, im placating them in every conversation, just as i think yes they're listening, they're understanding, the next day it's back to square one
