The Labour Landlord was daft, they were quackers DT.
If you must, tony...

A hawk called Kier is feeling horny...

The first partner he meets is a dove.
He pulls her into the bushes and there's a bunch of shaking and rustling sounds. A few minutes later, they both come out looking happy.

The dove says, "I'm a dove and I've been loved."

The Kier hawk is still horny, though, so he keeps looking.

The next partner he meets is a Bath lark. He pulls the lark into the bushes, the same shaking and rustling happens, and they both come out looking happy. The lark says, "I'm a lark and I've been sparked."

Next, the hawk finds a Penn duck.

Same deal as before, but this time when they come out, the Penn duck looks angry and the hawk looks extremely embarrassed.

The duck says, "I'm a Drake and you made a mistake!"
All great Labour bashing fun.

Meanwhile the buffoon in No.10 who did everything too late and resulted with the UK death toll 50,000 higher than Germany, grins his stupid head off.
Starmer is useless. This is a joy.
'I really don't need lectures from you' says Starmer to landlord. His Brown, bigotted woman, moment. Finished.
So what on earth do Labour do now? (Apart from giving up).
And what on earth were his security detail doing manhandling the landlord inside his pub while Useless was outside? Astonishing. Bye-bye Starmer.
Foot (lost), Kinnock (lost twice), Brown (lost), Miliband (lost), Corbyn (lost twice), Starmer...
Sunk: That 'buffoon' was elected in a landslide, is riding high in the polls, is already besting his new Labour rival, has overseen the greatest peacetime emergency this country has faced since the Black Death and wait until the local elections, the elections in Wales and Scotland and the forthcoming by-election...
Regardless of what happens to Keir Starmer (and I'd expect his stock to rise if/when the current crisis ends) I doubt if this incident will have a bacon-roll style shelf-life.
Apart from anything else, this person's criticism rings utterly hollow.
If he'd gone after him for pressing for higher payments for pub owners, employees, NHS workers etc then it might be a different matter. For a while. It just comes across as self-interest.
Lecturing a member of the public, as alluded to earier, is never a good look. This individual is a million miles from calling out a little old lady's racism.
"This individual is a million miles from calling out a little old lady's racism."

The link provides the full exchange between Gordon Brown and Gillian Duffy.

Can you point out the racism you refer to - because I can't find it.

nor could i DD when i posted that link a while ago - she was a fully paid up member of the Labour Party, and basically sunk Gordon Browns tenure as PM.
It isn’t the exchange which did for the Gordon but the comments later which he thought could not be heard.
It was disastrous because here was a lifelong Labour supporter effectively being dismissed as as best a nuisance and at worst racist though the R word is never used of course that is the subtext.
Not quite the same as a Labour supporting landlord criticising the lockdown
SKS handled this really badly, particularly this patronising bit: //so I really don't need lectures from you about this pandemic. Thank you. Shall we go in?'//

I also thought a pub landlord could refuse anyone entry provided it wasnt on the grounds of race or similar so why didnt SKS and his security pre clear it or just leave. Sights of SKS security bulying a landlord is not good.

The Landlord has some good points. SKS should have been pushing for answers and questioning Johnsons lies. He should have been asking the awkward questions about the economy and the devastating, and in some cases deadly, effects Johnsons actions have taken. Yes, lockdown may still have happened, and once key questions were asked SKS may have agreed but at least he would have seen to be holding the Government to account. At the moment no one is, we are little better than a Banana Republic with an unaccountable dictatorship.

I know this view wont go down well on here, but many people are not in the position many of you are in, many are now on the bones of their ***. Not that many on here seem to care, case of I'm alright Jack.

TBH the bloke was just a rude plonker. I'd have happily let Captain H in for a pint and I'm a Tory. I do have some some sympathy with the lot of the opposition at the moment. Hard to oppose in a crisis situation.
It is indeed Tora.
I understand where ymb is coming from as he’s not a fan of Johnson. And Starmer could have handled it better.
But I can’t see this angering Labour supporters the way the Brown thing did because in general Labour voters support the lockdown more than Tory ones it seems.
//in general Labour voters support the lockdown more than Tory ones it seems.//

I doubt that, probably the same in reality.

Yes it is hard to oppose in a crisis situation but they should still be asking the right questions to ensure the crisis does not get out of hand. Questions such as why Hancock dismissed opposing views (from professionals) with the contempt he did, where all the money is going (e.g. Hancocks Landlord mate in his local), how the economy is being taken into account, why younger people are not receiving critical medical care in favour of older people often at the end of life.

And many more. Like I said earlier they may well have come to the same conclusion but it would have been in the open and the public would know Johnson and Hancock were being kept in check and lying was at a minimum. As it is we dont.

Will it affect SKS long term, not not just this incident but he will have to be very careful in the future so it isnt dragged up again time after time.
I actually thought Starmer handled it quite well... they obviously did not know it was the landlord before he revealed himself to be so, and as soon as he did they left...
I suppose it is possible that the party did not check about his visit beforehand but that does not seem very likely to me... the landlord obviously knew he was coming - he was prepared with his graph printout... I'm inclined to believe he permitted the visit in order to get his chance at challenging Starmer.

"Yes it is hard to oppose in a crisis situation but they should still be asking the right questions to ensure the crisis does not get out of hand."

I think they have been asking...

Unfortunately the way our system works is that with a big majority the Tories can basically do whatever the hell they want. The opposition has no power.
