I think any verdict will cause civil unrest, which is something of an irony - that people protest against police behaviour, and then deliberately increase the chances of the same sort of behaviour happening all over again.
Some people don't need an excuse, it is a dreadful situation and it will only get worse as the extremes on both sides cause more destruction and deaths.
