If so, have you removed the spout filter to clean it, and if you did, how did you get it back in??!
It takes 15 seconds to remove it, and I have just given up trying to put it back after about 30 minutes and 100 odd attempts! It doesn't help that the lid obstructs you from putting your hand in, and when you do, of course you block out the light!

In case you've not got it, the manual only says to -

"Lower the filter into the kettle, and engage the bottom hook in the bottom of the spout."

Thanks King, that much I can do, but then the top just wont fit into place.
On removing the filter, it says

"Push the hook on top of the filter down then lift the filter out of the kettle..."

- can you push the hook down as you insert it, letting it go when it's in place? Sorry I can't be more help.

Ahhh, your pdf was a big help! I had it the wrong way round! What a wally!
Oh, I'm glad you're sorted - time for a nice cuppa :-)
I've got one, and I had the same nightmare.
so have I but I didn't bother putting it back in - does it make any difference to the boiled water
It just means you bought a kettle with a filter and now it has no filter JJ, that's all.
Our water is so hard, we need a filter. It's as if a teachers chalk had been lobbed in.
