Eric Clapton playing a BB King number while BB looks on admiringly ...

I am also a bit of a fan of The Stone Roses. John Squires is massively underrated and they have perhaps one of the best Bass players of the last 40 years in Gary 'Mani' Mounfield. This track is built around Squires playing a riff in a multitude of ways and finishes with a bit of a showcase for him.

Are we allowed a sitar solo? I can't identify it other than it is an evening raga recorded by Ravi Shankar which starts slowly, melodically and sensuously and develops into a furious and passionate climax. Sorry I can't find a link, but maybe someone might have an idea.
Neil Young - impossible to choose one - but this will do for starters :

There's a few, but I've always loved the acoustic one in Make me smile (come up and see me) by Steve Harvey and Cockney Rebel.
Harley
How have we missed out Angus Young? He even had the Argies rocking at the River Plate Stadium.

Classic .
Or this - epic solos from 1:38 and then 3:25

Tigs, Samba pa Ti used to have that on the juke box in a pub I worked in as a student. In fact I remember every song on the juke box and every time I hear any of them it takes me back there.
I used to wear a t shirt with "Everybody Knows This is Nowhere" written on the front. His last good guitar work was on the Psychedelic Pill cd. Ramada Inn and Driftin Back on it 17 & 27 minutes long respectively.

Indeed - like this epic live bootleg :

TTT, I first heard Samba pa Ti at the same time as Child In Time. They were both on a compilation album I got over 30 years ago. Both tunes are mind blowing.
