I'm still in the Dark Ages so am having trouble with the following. I have a set of headphones which I used to plug into my CD player to listen to the music so it didn't disturb anyone. The player suffered an accident so I bought a new one (a Bush) but when I plug the headphones into the Line In socket I don't get any sound. I've queried it with the seller and they say that the socket is for plugging into your phone. Can you no longer buy a CD player that will play through headphones?

Yes you can. Look for one with 'headphone jack' in the description.

That simple, eh, Chinajan!! Many thanks.
As the name suggests, line in is used to play an external source through your CD Player. I am surprised that it doesn't have a headphone output. Do you have a Model Number?
