Do you think people will go to town/ shops on Monday because they really need to get some items, OR because they just need to get that feeling back of normality. Apart from hairdressers.

Good for you tc. I'll also be popping along to my favourite book shop for a good browse. Can't wait.

I need to get some items, but I am also looking forward to the feeling of 'normality' too.
Some will, some won't. I'm pretty sure there won't be just one reason. That's not human nature.
I won't be going anywhere near my nearest town on Monday, it will be mayhem!
I'm going to be extra wary for a while, the shops are going to be full of returnees who have no idea what they've got.

That's not human nature? Its not human nature to lock one self away for weeks on end, but it is human nature to go out a mix, more so if you've been deprived of such.
To your last sentence - I never said it was / wasn't.

I take it from your previous 'fingers in your ears' response to Govt advice that you'll be with the other morons....sorry, shoppers on Monday?
I need some new shoes and the shoe shop I go to is in the same centre as the supermarket. I can't honesty see it being full to bursting of people queueing to get in, but even if it is, I am still going !

Well better than being a moron on here all day. I WILL be out and about gathering lots of goodies from one or two camping/ caravan/ motor home outlets, for my up and coming travels.
Monday is my usual go into town day, so nothing different for me.
Are children back to school Monday? If so, maybe town won't be too bad.

I thought so.

You've never been thinking have you?? Yep don't intend being tied down by Boris any longer.
Thanks for BA !
If I need something I will go out, but as pretty much everything is available in the large supermarkets not much will change.
I think I've been to our town centre once in the last 5 or 10 years & that was because I needed to draw a substantial sum of cash from my bank. I didn't see anything there that would make me want to go again!
I am in dire need of some new shoes (soles have split) but I'll wait a few days until the rush has passed. Then I'll shop for them and the 'little man' who mends spectacles amongst other things and (incomprehensibly) was classed as non-essential! (My newest specs. broke and I've had to use older and not so clear ones for 3 months.)
my sis is looking forward to getting out but only after the rush has subsided and she's had her second jab.
