Trap and release why not?
are you planning to eat the mouse?
i didn't find any humane mousetraps. None that worked any way
They work quite well, we always put some hamster food in them. When they harvest the field behind us it tends to send the field mice running.
going on the pest control chap, to trap them and release usually meant them coming back.
I sometimes see mice lurking around my hens pen. I have little plastic humane traps that are very effective. The mouse is unharmed, although a little stressed. I work on the belief that where there is one mouse, there is a family waiting for that mouse to come home. So when I trap one, I keep him/her in a little cage, with food and water, and set about tempting the others. It usually works. Then I drive to a river bank behind a recycling area (about 30 miles away from my hens pen) and release the family together. Last group I caught last year were a very large male, two small individuals who looked like youngsters and a heavily pregnant female. None have ever returned. Hopefully they found new accommodation at the riverside.
My vegan daughter doesn't think twice about using standard traps if her cat isn't keeping them down
firstly i don't drive, second on advice of pest control who put poison down, got rid of them eventually, he said that if not permantly removed, they would indeedfind their way back to the flats.
Ringlet .. I thought you were going to say .. 'when I got back home the mice were waiting on the doorstep ! '
have you seen the footage of the massive influx of mice in Australia, its horrendous, millions of the little blighters running here there and everywhere. I have no idea how they got rid of them.
Probably not, but it depends on how strong-willed the person is.
Vegetarians and vegans are individuals. Some would use mousetraps and call in rentokill, others wouldn't.
