Theland, I think that if it worked it would be widely used and prescribed on the NH. It's probably just a last resort for people in pain who will try anything to deliver them from whatever they've got. If you've got the money then why not try it? The placebo effect is a real thing.

For my son, (30), Leg pain, ever since aged 10 and NAD Perthes disease, total hip replacement aged 18, getting worse ever since. Now at his wits end. NHS offering nothing.
I've tried it for Arthritis with no effect at all. Also tried magnetic boots on animals with no success.

Abracadabra medicine.
Few if any reputable studies.
Theland that is a problem with your son......my suggestion is to ask your GP for a referral to the Centre for Hip and Knee Surgery, Wrightington Nr Wigan.
