Which of these two options work out cheaper, please?

A. I choose to pay my onboard charges in the currency of my card. (GBP)

B. I choose to have my credit card issuer convert my onboard charges to the currency of my card in lieu of participating in the Celebrity Cruises currency program.

(Celebrity Cruises is an American company.)

Or, does it make no difference?

The posts on both of these forums strongly suggest that you should NOT opt to use the Celebrity Cruises currency program: http://www.fodors.com/community/cruises/currency-coverter-on-cruise.cfm and http://boards.cruisecritic.co.uk/showthread.php?t=832119
