After all that "Knee" business, it seems that may not be the cause of his demise:

Jurors will be aware of the death and destruction that will follow a not guilty verdict.
Indeed. That may in itself influence people.
//Does anyone think he'll get a fair trial? //

I wouldn't bet on it.

PP, leave me out of your stupid ramblings.
Ok, sorry spice.
In theory, he should get as fair a trial as anyone else. Hopefully cause/s of death will be known and I'm sure juries are fairly well directed.
My current view is that Chauvin is at least as awful a person as Floyd- but like most rational people- if I was given different facts and evidence to what I have seen so far, I would be quite capable of changing my mind. I think most people can.
Khandro at 09.47 - if you are going to tag a 'respectable woman's being raped, it follows that she is less deserving of being raped than an 'unrespectable' woman.

You should be ashamed of yourself and deeply ashamed to call yourself a 'Christian'.

What an appalling way you think.

It's 2021 not 1957.
// //Does anyone think he'll get a fair trial? //
I wouldn't bet on it.

well said that lady! a white jury wd give him a free pass to Liberty wouldnt they - ter daaah !

[sarf efrica, a jury accquitted a boer of the murder of his head worker - not guilty by reason of insanity said the juryman

what all of you? - asked the judge ter daah again ! ]
sozza that was to enliven or lighten the air after Andie's rather censorious claims

and he's not even a christian is he? -andie that is !

( 1957 is remarkable laying aside my first day at school for the Homicide Act which I think is irrelevant here)
PP... what criteria is there for "a fair trial"? We always seem to name people, before trials, and that is presumably still allowed. But what are the actual criteria?
And(ie) was just showing that religion and morals are not correlated.

andy-hughes. The opposite of a respectable woman is not an unrespectable [sic] woman.
A respectable woman, is a description which can be likened to that of the nuance in English, between saying a man & a gentleman.

Also, as I've told you many times, you know nothing whatsoever about my religious convictions, & what that have to do with this thread, I have no idea.

has
Khandro, "respectable" in the English language, is something or someone that deserves respect. It does imply, that some don't.
khandy - kissy wissy - I think you are fab !

[and I always thought the first syllable of your handle gave the game away but as I am so often told - hell what do I know?]

(and the last person who said I was unChristian? yup two wives sort of, one of which the fella had forgotten to er marry)

pixie: I don't really need any English (or any other language) lessons from you, thank you all the same.
It's certainly better than your suggestion, that some people deserve to be raped less than others.
You're welcome.
Khandro, I am not surprised to read your nonsense about 'nuances' - you clearly believe that women you know nothing about are 'respectable' or not based on your judgement.

Where you learned the colossal arrogance to assume that you can sit in judgement as to any woman's status, and therefore whether her being raped is an abomination (for gentle women) or just tough luck (for the rest).

As for - not knowing' about your faith' - I already know far more than I would ever want to because you trumpet about it on here on an almost daily basis!!
What Killed George Floyd? His stupidity.
> Does anyone think he'll get a fair trial?

Probably fairer than Floyd got (and continues to get).

Judge, jury and executioner ... is a phrase that springs to mind.
Yep.
'A little knowledge is a dangerous thing' is the phrase that springs to my mind.
