Disappointing in the end. The postcards? The changed necklace? The motivation of gangster to kill priest's daughter?

I thoroughly enjoyed this, thought it a good ending & it seems to me there's a fair bit left to work with in the 2nd series.
Maybe all will be explained in the next series? Must admit I felt a bit let down by the final episode of Series 1.
I also thought it was good. Worth it alone for the shots (so to speak) of Strangford Lough.
With these things there’s always a temptation to turn the whole plot on its head with a wholly unconvincing final twist, but Bloodlands didn’t do that. So much of what actually happened was revealed earth on, such as who kidnapped Keenan.
There wasn’t really a “Goliath” after all, not in the way people thought at the time. The postcards, which were of the Goliath cranes at H&W, were a ploy by the doctor and Adam Corry to get the case into the disappearance of their father and brother reopened.
