They are requests to link up on Messenger and when I view them (anonymously) they are of a pornographic nature.

How do I stop these?

I suppose you could ignore them. Pornography is designed to arouse sexual feelings in the viewer; if you feel such feelings then perhaps you could simply enjoy them (like watching an ad for chocolate or cars) and if you don't enjoy them then they are failing in their aim and so are not upsetting you. If you disapprove of them for religious reasons, then I don't know what to say other than each to his own and let the supreme creator of the almost-infinite universe worry about what little mammals do to each other.
What fb messenger??
Technically, I'm not sure what you can do. Perhaps there is a Block option; maybe someone more tech savvy will come on and advise. Good luck.

Yes. FB Messenger. I do block them but just wonder if changing my password would help. I’m not upset by them but don’t like the way they are intruding into my life.
In your main Facebook account open settings - privacy. Under who can send friend requests click friends of friends. Report anyone sending you porn, no stranger has the right to do that.

Thanks Barry. Will do.
Chrissa, I've been thinking more about this. You may not be offended or upset by 'slightly pornographic' messages from strangers (I don't know, you might be) but please report them because these perverts will be sending the same messages to girls and women of all ages and sensibilities. It makes my blood boil :(

Barry. I’ve just checked my privacy settings on FB and they are all set at “friends of friends.” So, not sure what more I can do.
Thanks for your care. X
Just delete the requests
Question Author
I do Robbie, but would prefer not to receive them in the first place.
It's ridiculous that you can't choose to block all friend requests. My wife has a man's name on FB to stop this sort of nonsense.
I don't use Facebook at all Chrissa, but could you delete your friends one at a time just long enough to see if the messages continue when each person is deleted? Does that make sense?
