I walk with my daughter and two children, 7 and 10. Is this allowed? I live with my husband but he doesn't walk. I hear and read conflicting statements re children, many people think children don't count in the 'rule of six' or meeting 'one other person' outside? I am not in any kind of bubble officially. I cant see any risk, and we do not meet indoors, but would like to know what the regulations actually are? I think in first lockdown children did count in the total.

At this current moment, unless they are in your childcare bubble or live in your household, children over age five do count, so what you are doing is against the regulations
unless oyu are a registered childminder also
I think chelle meant to say over 5
In the scheme of things tho compered to what some people are doing its a very minor breach and you wont be stopped am sure/ Allso anything outdoors is very low risk but its still best to keep some distance and remember the children could easily of picked it up but show no symtoms .
where do you live? Wales? Scotland? England? Ireland? I believe the rules differ.
Am not sure the childcare bubble counts if your socialiszing with the mother unless you live alone and have a bubble with her too and noone else. But as said before its only minor and will soon be allowed anyway.
Am seeing far worse. LA neighbour has just come back from 6 months abroad and as to quarantine for 10 days but as had more visitors round into the house in 3 days than we've had in the last year, then yesterday went out with friends in the car god knows where.
But its not my problem - will keep away, Can only control what we do
Think its allowed in Scotland now or will be in next few days dolly

Thanks everyone! At least I know where I stand now.
The CAB link was dated 16th February, which is part of what I said, there is conflicting advice as things have possibly changed since then.
I will continue to use my common sense in this case though - we keep social distancing as far as possible.
Keep safe everyone!
Hello Dolly !
no I think you are being sensible and you should go on doing it.

People are being sensible and splitting "doing things likely to infect" and going against regulations.
Walking outside is very unlikely to infect - the expt has been done repeatedly over the last year - Durdle Dor last year ( bright sunlight and dry ) over a million tries and no infection - Celtic recently and also the raves in Manchester

Cheltenham last year IS meant to have led to a wave from Thpain but I cant believe it was outside bellowing about the geegees.
it was about what went on in the smoke room afterwards ( enclosed damp and lots of spit) and that is not what you are talking about ( your children dont smoke do they)

Anyone doing vaccines?
Pollard this am on R4 around 07 30 very good
1. he Andrew Pollard is the guy in charge
2. three clots reported now up to 40. You expect 3000 deaths per month from clots anyway. so an increase may not be happening
3. If you are running at 1000 covid deaths a month and you dont vacca for a month then you have 1000 deaths instead of 40. (*)
4.What about vacca whilst you have covid but dont know? - - well you clot with Covid anyway so you are never gonna know what it is

which considering some of the blindly stupid rubbish around I thought was very clear

(*) opportunity cost argument but you have to know what an opportunity cost is
