I have an 8 month old Shin Tzu after resting he always limps on his right front leg when he gets up, and yet after 5 minutes or so he is running around as though there is no problem. I have felt his leg and all his joints and there seems to be no problem he does not even help or cry out in pain. What could be causing this? Should I take him to the vets and have him checked over?

I would get him checked by your vet as Shih Tzus can suffer from Angular Limb Deformity, which is often found in breeds with bowed front legs. Your vet may want to refer him to an orthopedic specialist so hope he is insured.
Yes, please get him checked, I had a shitzu who suffered most of his life with a problem leg where the bone became deformed. Nowadays something can be done about this which will save him suffering with arthritis later in life. No harm in getting him checked over, they may suggest an X-ray or mri scan to see what is going on. Good luck, enjoy your new puppy they grow up so fast.
