We have just received our Census form, offering an opportunity to complete it on line.

For those of you who don't have access to a computer, don't worry, the form advises you to go on line and apply for a paper copy.

There is no mention of what to do if you have no access to the internet, just a number to call, and we know what that involves!!

Are we in danger of simply air-brushing out of existence, anyone who does not have access to a computer?

They're not going to make it easy to opt for a form, as then a human being has to be paid to input it.
Thanks ginge, I didn't know that, I was going by the one I received.
//Isn’t the solution just to fill in the form?//

Except you are not sent the form. You are sent a letter with an access code to use in order to complete the census online. If you want a paper form you can either request one online or request one via telephone. Just tried the number - answered immediately, option 1 to request a form and straight to an automated system where you enter your access code. Two minutes, max.
Lots of companies have been asking us for a long time if we will go paperless.
If they give us a choice, then I don't have a problem with it.
dunno why anyone would muck about with a paper form, it's very simple online.
You could go to a public library and use their computer.
Are public libraries open at the moment?
"Are public libraries open at the moment? " - you just reminded me of my kiwi mate, TBF he's 88 and a complete technophobe he has an old nokia slide phone that does the basics! He's always accusing me of being a button pusher, ironically his phone has buttons, mine does not! When I try and espouse the world of knowledge at my fingertips he always says, "if I want to know something I go to the library"! PMSL. He regularly asks me to look up things on my phone! ...all in good nature my stock response is, "what? is the library closed?"
if you cant get into the library surely you have a friend / neighbour / family member who can assist.
