First I've heard of a black fox.

survived so far to grow to adulthood, or so it seems, perhaps there are more to be seen...

probably surviving on what people throw out, digging through rubbish, and all that we get rid of. I guess you would call it living in the wild, after all its not in a cage, or a zoo.

"But he's still living in the wild isn't he ? " - well in as much as he's adapted the urban habitat as his "wild" like many foxes.

Foxes have become a very successful urban dweller, essentially existing off what humans throw out. I know a few old people that have regular visitations for which they save food scraps etc.
