For earlies I've gone for rocket, this year. I grow them in 12in pots, started off in march in my poly tunnel.
Cara seem to suit my soil for main crop.
anything. as blight resistant as possible.
I might try some Mayan gold.
Last Sunday I dug up all the spuds I grew for xmas .. that gives me the first New potatoes of the year. They were Charlotte.
Same as Melv I have Rocket in 10 30Ltr pots in the poly tunnel to start them off, they will go outside by April I guess.
Anya as the second earlies in the ground.
LJ .. I have often grown Sarpo Mira as they are a blight resistant main crop spud.. never had any problems with them. You cant beat a nice baked potato.
Just got back from the allotment with Pak Choi and spring onions .. stir fry tonight !
First Earlies Arran Pilot and Swift. My tomatoes are going to be Sweet Baby, Nimbus, And Crimson Crush. These will be done from seed starting hopefully before Easter. Just waiting to get the necxt cold snap over with before reassembling my seedlings cloche. Vine Weevil grub treatment is in the fridge again waiting for it to warm up a little. Mighty Nem (Nematode) treatment for the veg patch and the pots and tubs that have been over wintered. We are plagued with them here i the spring being close to a wooded area. I did leave a message on you old thread Melv(the strawberry one).I didn't realise it was an old thread until I had answered. Still ... You got an answer eventually.
Are we forgiven typos in gardening? 3 in there^ next. in the spring. your old thread.

I was given some late strawbs last year and I found them to be very sour compared to the Cambridge favourite.
For something different I'm going to grow asparagus peas this year.
Chitting and to produce more plants, I am slicing the seed potatoes in half.
