OK I'm England but even the Wales pundits are embarrassed by the 2 Welsh "tries".

Overall Wales deserved the win, although rather ironically, England's attack was better than Wales's. I wonder what the score would have been were it not for the two wrong tries. The first try was an utter disgrace. To tell the Captain to have a word with his team, to call time off, to have water carriers on the field, and then not provide any time to re-set,...

The second try especially was a disgrace.
DAVE!
On the same day Brighton had a goal disallowed by the ref because the opposition weren't ready from a free kick, even though the ref had blown the whistle to take the kick.

Not a great day for match officials.

He actually disallowed the goal then gave the goal then disallowed the goal.

Brilliant.

The ref in the Brighton game has previous. Useless.
What was wrong with the second "controversial" try?

He appeared to lose grip of the ball, it hit the side of his leg and went backwards so what was wrong with that?
They were both well checked and found to be fine. Close margins maybe but right decisions. England were second best for much of the game. They had their moments but if they keep giving away penalties they will get punished. Maybe they need to start picking players from teams that are actually playing club rugby at the moment. A third of the team play for Saracens who have not kicked off their season yet.
The Welsh were the better side and deserved to win.
First try..he never had control of the ball...no try..knock on.
Second try..an utter disgrace....certainly no try.
i gave up after a while and watched something else.
we lost
stop whining
refs are wrong
geddover it
they are not like the always right gods on AB
get over that !
i too thought the try i saw shouldn't have been given, but hey ho....

A very scrappy game. The ref ought to find something else to do.
having organised a knock out footie tournie
I can say that refs are all bliddy odd people
weird doesnt cover it - and I know! I post regularly on AB !
I tried to thank the group of refs for turning up and giving their time without charge
and was told I cdnt as I wd hear their private yap-yap ....( and refs yap yap was Very Private Indeed )
Just thinking how many moans would we have had about this had it been the other way around. Wales were quicker to react and it paid off.
the only thing consistent about the refereeing was just how bad it was - he made it a scrappy game by being whistle-happy - yet he missed so much too and those two incidents, well, they were disgraceful.
well when the Beeb Welsh commentator turned around and said, "If I could I would nominate the referee for man of the match" it says it all.

I'm not whingeing as England having clawed themselves back into the match then blew it with stupid penalties. However, the ref's book was set from the moment early on when he penalised Itoje for a deliberate knock-on - no way was that the right decision. Cost - 3 points to the Leeks.
