Says the British tabloids 'destroyed' his mental health. Doesn't mention the wife. Ergo he was, or is, mentally ill.

Paigntonian- and...?
It could also mean he wants to look after himself and his family, so they aren't so affected by the press.
Then he shouldn't keep appearing on chat shows. If he wants privacy tell him to stop talking to any media.
^^^ see!
Watched him being interviewed on on open top bus . First time he's been on a bus he said .If he want's to keep away from the press whats he doing on the bus .? now thats what I call mental.
"....the press who have to bear some responsibility in her death"

Really? Why's that?

The man driving the car was drunk - I'd have thought if anybody has "responsibility" for her death it was the drunken driver.
//I can see where he's coming from, if you'd seen your own Mum pursued mercilessly by the press daily,//

His mother was complicit in that she constantly made sure that the press were able to see her, she could hardly complain if they got their photos on other occasions. Harry is very much the same, photographers are always there to capture their pseudo official moments like the Remembrance Day debacle, handing out charity packages and so on, yet he complains when they get photos when not in a set-up.
"The man driving the car was drunk"

You sure about that?
Meghan is a woman on a mission, a fairly ordinary actress who happens to court the attention of a member of the Royal family, has aspirations of being a princess without putting in the years of public service, when it's apparent that's not going to happen, she throws her dolls out of the pram, forces Harry to leave the UK, and then use their royal titles to make a large wedge. All the time saying they need privacy but befriending all the top influential celebrities to put her views across. Right here is the thing, most of her family haven't got a good word to say about her, she publicly humiliated her father who tried to mend bridges. Yes I think we can see what sort of a woman she is and has brought down a man who could have had a bright future but is now in tatters. I say their marriage will be over in 5 years but of course the blame will be laid at the press and others and not at her door.

"You sure about that?"

Are you sure I'm not and he wasn't?
I'm certainly 100% sure that you don't actually know...

I agree
Honestly, as if either of them give a f what any bitter old twits on the answerbank think. He looked really happy on the news. Good.
// people who claim they should stay out of the limelight and be quiet are the first to start a thread the minute either of them squeaks a word. //

Neither of them have stopped squeaking since they left. They squeak at every opportunity - and loudly. So much for claiming to seek privacy and to avoid the press.
I'm afraid I disliked her from the moment I saw the engagement pictures on the telly , I just thought she is acting like she's on a red carpet . Just did not feel right. But its their life.
I know Naomi, then it's re-squeaked on here moments after it's been squeaked elsewhere by people who don't want to hear about them.

Funny old World isn't it?
no I thought megz wd be stupendously wonderful
and support poor sensitive Harry
and they wd live happily ever after

shows how good I am at assessing people

and in stead she turns out like Princess Ferge and he turns out like Prince Andrew (sort of)
No surprise there, mamyalynne. I think a lot of people regard them as self-serving hypocrites. I know I do. Apart from that if they're in the news, then News is the place to talk about it.

Wolf: The last thing I was doing was to belittle mental health problems. I was knocking Harry.
Destroying was the word used...not destroyed. So he did the sensible thing and got out in time. Good for them both.

It's saddening to hear repeated that Meghan wouldn't have pursued him had he been a regular bloke. How on earth do we know about the attraction between two people and what a relationship is really like.
Well except for the experts and perhaps psychics like the original poster who has decided he is or was mentally ill.

Another nasty post from the ever spouting Christian.
I think Harry sees the media version of himself and knows it is not real, and it is a persona he doesn't like very much.

His response is to try and put the 'true' version across by these interviews, which he hopes will show people the person he is.

Harry's problem is, he has not yet grasped that this is not how the media operates, and this is a battle he will never ever win.

By attempting to put himself across honestly, he simply gives the media more ammunition for its campaign of hostility.

Harry is far to guiless to appreciate that his honesty will always be twisted by the media to suit its own message - the message that its readers want to read.

If he were advised properly, he would hear that the media will always present a false image of who he is, and he should simply ignore it, accept that it is unreal, and more importantly, that he can ever alter it.

The result of that is that he simply stays quiet, the fortunate byproduct of that change of behaviour will mean that the criticism of him - that he craves privacy but chases public approval, will disappear.

Sadly, that advice is either not being offered, or if it is, it is being ignored, and this situation will run and run.
