I have a new Samsung mobile and want to get rid of my old one. However I still have all my emails going to the old phone, how cancel these emails on the old phone? Shall I do a factory reset on the old phone, if so will I still get my emails on my new phone? I am using them both with home WiFi. Thanks all.

Smurf, if you are getting the emails and notifications on your new phone you can safely restore your old phone to factory default.

Your emails go to your server not your phone surely?

Blue moon I am really not technical at all, and I am sure you know what you are talking about ... so is it safe to reset my old phone and will my emails still be in my new phone? Also I want to do the same thing with my old iPad. I just don’t want to lose my emails on my new phone and my new iPad. Thanks all
Before you go doing a factory reset .. have you backed up your Google a/c and Whatsapp ?
You emails are online not on your phone itself. So you can remove your email accounts on an old phone and add them to a new phone and all your emails will still be there. You don't need to cancel them on one to see them on another.
You should be able to transfer all the data on your old one to the new one anyway.

Everything is on my new phone, and on my new iPad. So do I need to transfer anything or can I just do a factory reset? Sorry if I am repeating myself ....
