Sky Q So Slow. Why?

Why is Sky Q/TV so slow to fast forward or rewind? I used to be with EE and could ff/rewind by counting to three while the fastest choice was selected. It take ages on Sky.

Select X30 for ff or rew then hold down the left or right arrow key on either side of 'select'.

I'm with Sky Chrissa and I have Q ,don't have any bother ,it's like a computer, it may need reset? But you would lose all pre recorded programmes if you had to do that

I do select x30 douglas but compared to EE and BT that I’ve also had, Sky trundles along. :((

Its quicker if you use 'user defined' to get to the start, not useful of course if you are just skipping adverts

What is the “user defined” function?

Do you know that if you use the voice control button, you can say 'skip three minutes' and it will fast forward that amount?

Hit pause and then the right/left control keys will take you forward/back in one minute increments per press - or hold down to move rapidly along the programme line.

Yes, voice control is such a breeze (don't have anything Sky, but my LG TV has it and makes you even lazier than using a remote!)
