Sunday. Well at least the wind has dropped.
I went to Tesco yesterday, put all my shopping in the trolley, approaching to the checkout to discover I had no money on me. So I put all the items back and will have to go again today. I hope it stays dry!
How daft can you get!

bye Minty, have a good day..
Morning all, weather looks promising so I'm stripping the beds and hanging covers out on the line while weather permits , so much nicer that drying inside , the house still resembles a builders yard as work starts next weekend on the kitchen and bathroom
morning Bobbi, are you have new kitchen and bathroom... i had that a kitchen makeover a couple of years ago, the council did them, and for once it was a good job, and no mess, as they cleared everything away.
Morning all.....a better night's sleep it must be said, only woken up by a text coming through from my daughter who is now back home...

Why I wasn't on yesterday was that texts were streaming back and forth between a friend of hers and me as she was readmitted the night at 10.30pm before with heavy bleeding. Essentially the cyst has burst and come through. This was after, supposedly being put with covid patients for a while in A&E or so her friend heard.

The Gynae ward discharged her but she still felt awful with other pains, nausea and dizziness so she went back into A&E. Before I was able to get through, her friend did and spoke to the Matron who went ballistic with the Gynaes for releasing her and heard about the covid 'incident'. 'I promise action within the hour'.

She was moved to her own room and breakfast appeared. Then the Matron appeared apologising for the early release and that there had been mis-information passed to her friend about the covid. Then it was the head of infectious diseases who came in, did the necessary and was back inside 75 minutes with the lab results - 'you have gastric flu - it's not unusual for something like this to ride in with the cyst'. Then came a 'surprise' and more material against the gastros here in Treliske - 'do you know that we can also see a trace of Lyme's Disease in your blood....'

She got home around midday, having picked up meds for the flu and some M&S food (they have a small store in the hospital) and she went to bed and slept until 11pm - no surprise but at least she's out - this was the Jimmy Saville hospital in Leeds, St. James.

morning DTc, how awful for her, how is she now...
Oh my word what an awful catalog of events DTC, hope she's well on the way to recovery now , really bad for a hospital which has always had a good reputation.

New worktops for the kitchen Emmie , they're lying up the hallway, a bathroom make over , we're have a walk in shower put in and wall cladding put on, that's lying flat in our bedroom on the floor , it's like an obstacle course getting to bed haha
last I heard she was okay but sleeping it off....a big thanks to her friend who even tried getting in to the hospital pretending to be her cousin...but she kept on top of what was going on, one problem being that the gyno ward had no phone or wifi signal.
i didn't have to have too much done to the kitchen, they stripped off the wallpaper tiling effect and painted it a plain colour, so much nicer than what it was. The bathroom is now a shower only as couldnt manage to get in and out of the bath. so paid my builders a goodly sum, and it was done in a few days.

dtc, wishing her well, sounds like quite an ordeal..
That's what I'm having done Emmie, it's a 'long' shower going in where the bath stood, I was toying with the idea of a wet room but we've decided against that
the builder told me not to have a wet room, as likelyhood of it going all over the hallway, so plumped for a long base, and a glass panel, triton shower it works well.. cost me 2k though...
ok time for ablutions - have a good one all....
dtc, havre a good day... hope your daughter feels better soon.
Sending best wishes for your girls recovery DT
That's what we're having put in Emmie, a long base with a glass panel
Emmie, i'd be very interested to hear if you ever sort it out regarding Barclays - I have had that happen before on several occasions, only to remember the next day what I had done/bought. I now run all unrecognised transactions through google first, to prevent me feeling like a numpty!
i wish i had bednobs, yes indeed it showed up as general store, but not post office, where i bought some birthday cards, so slapped wrists to me. but i did have a chat to the guy about debit cards and when the new one appears. so it wasn't a totally wasted call.
