I have just read this article, someone posted it on FB. It cheered me up ☺

Cats really are the most unpredictable and contrary animals. That's why people love them.

pasta, the little cat had lots of love and care and she is long gone. I'm not a cat hater and have been around cats and dogs since my childhood. If I was younger and didn't go to France each summer I would love a dog, but a cat - no. I love the obvious worship and connection the you can have with a dog. I do not admire the haughty attitude of cats. Dogs love packs, families and hierarchies; cats despise you and me. :-)
Maybe it's all about how WE respond to them, and their individual personality, which determines what we get from them ...not which species they are.
I know how my animals have responded...and I know I've had at least 2 cats that didn't despise me.
Well, Pasta, I don't think we really know what animals think of us.

Petting your pet can be soooo relaxing.
