I haven’t had mine done for ages(shoot me now lol) and couldn’t find my last guys number, but then I saw on a local FB page a guy was advertising that he was starting up a new window cleaning company, so I asked him round for a quote. Then spoke to my MIL who says it’s really expensive? £25 for a mid terrace house, with also the loft conversion so that’s also two windows on very top floor. Is it really expensive??

it has its ups and down smow . . .
15 quid would be a fair price in the capital, but if you can find cheaper...........
It seems like I'm a bit late joining the party, but I feel the need to comment ..... seeing as I'm a window cleaner :)

Short answer is - it depends on where you live; what kind of house you live in and does he use ladders, or a reach and wash pole-fed system??

I'm NW England, use ladders and here's a few of my prices:
2 windows at front of house (one top and one bottom window) + fanlight over the door = £2.00 - £2.50 per clean.
Standard terrace house, consisting of 2 windows at front, 2 top windows at back, 1 living room + 1 kitchen window = £4.50 per clean.
Standard detached / semi detached (conservatory not included in price) = £5.00 - £10.00 depending on size of house and amount of windows.
My biggest house is £30.00 and that's for a nice BIG posh house in its own grounds .... electric gates, separate annexe .... you get the picture??
I live in a two bedroomed detached house. Our window cleaner comes monthly, he charges £16. He cleans 3 upstairs windows, 2 downstairs windows, a conservatory with 10 windows and a door, front door and back door.
He uses a long handled brush thing, always does a good job.
We pay £2.50 for 6 windows.
£5 for 7 windows..including patio sliding glass doors
