I recently stripped a rendered wall of ivy. How best do I remove the sticky mess left behind. I've tried spraying beachy solutions, and washing powder.

Thanks in advance.

Every plant has its place. The anchor roots will eventually wither and fall, in the meantime just give them an occasional brush.

That's what I did - wait for it to die & dry out then scrub it off with a stiff brush.

Ivy's a pain - anyone who deliberately plants it wants their head looking at!
Power washer?
'An evergreen creeper, offering year round coverage to any garden' .. they cant resist it !
I removed the majority but that still left thousands of small pieces still attached to the pebble dash on my garage. A wire brush was useless so I used a blow lamp and then painted the wall.
It'll disappear in time. Does it matter if there are marks on the wall? Does it matter if a woman has character lines on her face or body? (and they won't disappear in time apart from the final disintegration) Not to me.
The birds love ivy. Food, shelter, safety and good nesting.
