Our darling Tora ( not TTT I hasten to add) needs a haircut so we have booked her in on Thursday. Now I read that her coat can be either cut with scissors ( more expensive) or clippers. I have no idea, does anyone have suggestions ? We would like a " Puppy Cut", she is a 6 month old Bichon Maltese.

I think the main factor is your dog - will he tolerate buzzing clippers?

I think she would barry, she's quite laid back and the groomer will know how to handle her ( I hope )
Puppy fur is totally different to an adult. Your groomer should know where to start.
Blimey thought you were talking about our ToraToraTora. He's certainly no puppy.
more a rottweiler...
Clippers will shave off a lot more of the coat so unless you want her coat taking right off then opt for scissoring which will trim rather than shave. A good groomer will be able to clip in a longer style but so many these days only know how to shave down to the skin and they all end up looking the same. Like human hairdressers take some photos of how you expect her to look to give them an idea of the length/style.
Rottweilers are loveable. He's more like the spawn of the devil - Jack Russells.
barry believe me groomers know how to 'persuade' a dog to tolerate clippers!
