I missed a call on my mobile. When I googled the number its DWP. I am not on benefits nor making a claim or pension, does anyone know why they may be ringing me?

are you of retirement age, or about to be?
How do they know your number? Treat it as a scam - they'll ring again if it's important.
Probably a scam call. They can make your phone display whatever they like.

Thanks. Im 58. I googled who phoned me and it took me to the dwp.
i got a tx from them apparently saying they are looking into my state pension even though its been sorted already.
ditch it and wait to see if they call back
Lets hope you haven't been caught up in this huge fraud where innocent people are now being chased up by DWP for fraudulent emerguncy COVID universal credit advances where claimants stole identitys.

Bobbinwales, that doesnt sound good :(
Call them back on the proper DWP number you looked up and ask them why they rang you, it will put your mind at rest that there is no scam going on.
I wouldn't bother, I have been trying to contact them by phone for over week now, as has my employer. After three different menus and speaking my details into the phone, I get cut off. Every single time.

If it is important they will call you again.
or write to you
Was there anymore developments on this uncletom, have DWP been in touch again??
