I tend not to contribute to RIP threads, but I'm going to on this one simply because, even though it was made 6 years before I was born, The Sound of Music is one of my favourite films.

It was on over Xmas and I watched it with my 17 year old daughter, she loved it, and when I've walked past her room a couple of times I've heard her watching it again.

Great actor - thought he was excellent in The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (which, by the way, if you haven't seen, you should...and read the book).

Aww that is sad, I always liked him. Not just from Sound of Music but I always enjoyed the Scarlet and the Black and his eventual conversion.

RIP Christopher, Sound of music was the third film that I saw at the cinema ( mom made me go with her ) after Summer Holiday and Mary Poppins.
( I didn't know that he was Canadian ).
