Thank you Cashier/ A word I have never come across before despite hunting through dictionaries.
I have Caligo as well and like you a word I wasn't familiar with until I found the answer.
I am struggling with No.43. The Queen and Prince Philip spent part of their honeymoon here. (Again no number of letters but ending in the letter 'o'.
Any help appreciated.
Been looking for an hour bluebell56 and can only find Broadheath in Hampshire and Balmoral.
At should be Broadlands.
Only thing I can find is that they left London from Waterloo station - but that's pushing it a bit!!!
Thank you Cashier. I have been looking for hours too and can only find the same. I queried it with the setter and she tells me there is an answer ending in 'o' and she has had some quizzes back with it correct whatever it may be. All I can find is Waterloo Station where they left for their honeymoon but I'm sure it's not that.
I also dismissed Waterloo Station as unlikely, but who knows what the setter was thinking?
could it be gozo as they honeymooned in malta
Thank you Cashier and Captain2. I will have to try and get a clue out of her!
I'm sure that must be right but I think that clue's a bit of a swizz. The couple seems to have spent a lot of time in Malta both before and after their wedding but it seems it wasn't their actual or 'official' honeymoon [if there is such a thing]. But well done mallyh for solving it.
Wow. You're a gem Mallyn and thank you Mamyalynne for the link of interesting reading.
I agree Chinajan it sort of reads like a second honeymoon.
Thank you all. Really appreciate all your help.
