Going way back, to the days of Pebble Mill At One, does anyone recall the name of a gentleman who used to sing old ballads while standing by a pianist. He always seemed to wear very formal clothes and had the most beautiful voice. At the age of 80 my online research is limited. Thank you.

Was it George Romaine?
I thought he went to the Birmingham studios with Tom Coyne Mamya? I know he was on the One 0 clock show from TTT at the time

Thanks to all who replied to "Pebble Mill". The gentleman that I am trying to recall was 'stocky-ish', and by now would be around mid 70's to 80 years of age.
A very plain name, like John Smith, or George White. Anyway....Thank you kind people.
I might well be the only ABer who has actually appeared on it!
