Keystone XL phase 4 pipeline is unnecessary and would be an environmental disaster. Obama had halted it in 2015, but Trump restarted the scheme as payback to his Texas bankrollers.
There is widespread disapproval of the scheme and many campaigns and Court hearings.

Yes, yes we know, the Abbot so shallist school of maths and trig says that reducing the length of an already old pipeline by at least 25% and making it safer, cleaner, and less obtrusive whilst providing the opportunity to deliver energy cheaply to the Gulf States or even the Western ones is bad. It was of course agreed in 2010 and the existing is only phase 1 of the 3 agreed and a 4th proposed at the time.

Iranian Deputy Oil Minister Amir Hossein Zamaninia said on Friday that Iran is going to ramp up oil production, and that it will soon be greater than before Trump imposed sanctions. Oh Goody, they can afford to make nukes now.
China hits Biddy boy with a ramp of "sanctions" that allow them to, ... err build pipelines and stuff giving them an industrial advantage, cos Trump was nasty to them so they are going to be nasty back.
Saudi Arabia meanwhile consider a "donation" to an institution to be chosen by the new administration and order more arms from France and China with the anticipated increase in oil earnings.
I do like a thread that shows a bit of wit ... but after encountering a dimwit, a nitwit, and a half wit all in the space of an hour or so feel the need for less of it.

The whole point of the Keystone pipeline was to move crude from the Pacific coast to the Atlantic coast and western markets. In was built 2010-2016 under Democrat Obama’s administration, and is very successful.
Re-routing phase 1 to through Montana was always a controversial move. Obama said no, Trump signed it within days of getting into the Whitehouse, and four years later nothing has happened. And Biden has squashed it again.

Wrong again. The pipeline runs from the Canadian Sedimentary Basin in Alberta to refineries in Cushing Oklahoma which on my maps is North to south not West to East. Why do you make it up? I thought that you had learned that lesson. "The Pipeline" was designed to miss states that tended to vote Republican, so Bama had one designed that was 25% longer than necessary, and subsequently more of an environmental blight, rather than let it pass through Montana. The corruption during it's construction through the faithful areas, and ironically enough, "corner cutting" to divert Federal funds, was such that it is now falling apart. Montana and Texas, both excluded from the original plans are, and were Republican voting States. This decision like the original is not about saving the planet, rather it is about sacrificing the World economy to the Chinese version of social justice.

The pipeline does not finish in Cushing Oklahoma. Phase 2 did, but that was completed in 2011. Phase 3 took it to Houston Texas, and the Atlantic coast and that completed 2016.
Obama mapping the route to avoid Republican states is utter fantasy. For a start, it was oil industry planned and mostly financed. And it did go through Republican states. A pipeline going under your state to another place does not really give any economic benefit other than the short term construction jobs digging a big hole.
