I have 2 large wasps nest in my loft which are inactive. Would they have to be removed professionally, and if so, would it be the same people who treated the nests when they were active? How much could Ii expect to pay for this service? TIA

inactive, no they just need a bin bag and a vaccuum cleaner. I have got inactive nests in mine that have been there for 30 years now. We got them treated when we found the attic full of wasps (well it was the tv ariel guy actually) but as they are in a place that is hard to get at, we just left them
Wasp nests of our common wasp (Vespa Vulgaris) are only used for one year and abandoned in the Autumn. They are not repopulated. Don't waste your money in getting them removed
