I've just been out to pay the paper bill and got stopped by an elderly couple who asked me for directions to the local Covid vaccination centre. They were off to get their first jabs and I have NEVER seen anyone so excited.
They were like kids at Christmas. I found myself offering them congratulations. They were so happy they were going to be safer in a few weeks.
Cheered me up no end to meet them

Maybe it's their first trip out since last March! If you have to travel 60 miles are you allowed to stop for a coffee and/or the loo? Can you take sandwiches or is that considered a picnic?

Yes, some of them hadn't been out for months and they enjoyed sitting and talking to other 'guests' for 15 minutes.
