..........along comes that bundle of joy, Chris Whitty. He really does cheer things up doesn't he? In a former life he would have been the warm-up man for The Lutine Bell.
These medical professionals really do know how to make people feel positive, don't they? I know. I know. He's only doing a job. I know. I know. How would you do it then?

And tonight I've suffered the ultimate horror - Chris Whitty has appeared as an ad I have to watch to get a bonus move on Candy Crush!!
does he blink though prudie?
Douglas: Yes, it was Ian McDonald I was thinking of. Nott, as 'here today, gone tomorrow', was on a different occasion - though, quite funny I think, that's what he called his autobiography.
Only once bednobs, right near the end. Most odd.
yup.playing candycrush is the ultimate horror
good actors don't blink - I watched a Michael Caine masterclass on TV once, he said it shouldn't happen, it's distracting, and I don't believe I've ever seen him doing it.

Maybe issuing health warnings is the opposite and blinking is a sign that you're not reciting a script?
They might be counted on the wrong day judge but there only counted once. If your dismissing the 1564 figure yesterday 13 Jan what about the figure of 7421 in the last 7 days. You can try to pick holes in daily figures but they you cant hide from the clear trend. And from well over 84767 UK covid deaths in 10 months- all of these were counted only once.
Its amazing that people seem to bend over backwards to deny the obvious and we have to wonder what there agenda is

Morning Bob! :o)

What a load of cobblers you've posted @21.11. The figures are lies and alarmism, meant, as NJ has said, to frighten the *** out of you.

The clue is in the first four words of the caption on daily deaths, ie, "Death from any cause". How many actually died of Covid? Why aren't they telling you that? How many of them are people who have had the vaccine? Are there any? If there are, I would assume the govt don't want you to know that.

The daily infection rate is alarmist. How many had the virus but didn't develop the symptoms? How many had the symptoms but didn't go into hospital? How many have had the illness and are now recovered?

There isn't only doom and gloom to be seen in this. That's all we've had from the govt and "the science".

Squad, as a medical professional, I have the utmost respect for you, but people die every day, sad though it is. And among those deaths, perhaps, lessons will be learned. Lies and alarmism don't help anyone.

And now, a typical AB response:

What if the vaccine doesn't work? As stated above, how many of those in the daily death figures have recieved the vaccination? It doesn't bear thinking about, does my little lovlies?

Thanks for all the replies. Time for brekkie! Byeeeeeee!
have they sold out of tin hats?
Deaths (for any reason ) within 28 days of a positive covid test- 86,015

How many of those do you think were killed by a meteorite or a bus or died from something else?

Deaths where Covid was mentioned on death certificate 89243.

Excess deaths figure for 2020 was 87000.

More lies a suppose. All of them? Get a grip .
It's like anything on TV ... if you don't like Chris Witty, don't watch him!

Argue all you like about deaths and how they're measured and what it all means. I could point out that excess deaths last year were 85,000 more than would be expected based on the average in the previous five years, and the biggest since WWII, but it would no doubt fall on deaf ears or meet with an implausible explanation.

The main issue is how many hospital beds, including intensive care beds, are occupied by Covid-19 patients, and how we keep that number down and prevent the overwhelming of the NHS. That issue is real time, right now, open to direct observation and cannot be ignored or explained away.
