I know hairdresser shops are closed, but what about mobile hairdressers, can they still come to your home to cut your hair? As each day passes I am, more and more, looking like the wild woman of Borneo who has just stuck her fingers in a power socket! Have never used one before but if needs must......and if it isn't breaking any laws.

No they cannot come into your home, you'll have to knit a hat!

Vagus I managed to get it cut really short before, but due to unforeseen circumstances was unable to get it cut in time, this time around.
We’re the opposite.
Last time we were due a haircut and missed out, I almost resorted to OH using the dogs clippers on me.
This time, we had our hair cut just before Christmas,
next one booked in February which obviously won’t go ahead.
I got so fed up with my shaggy sheepdog look last time that I’ve been getting my hairdresser to use the clippers on number 8 ever since and I’m very pleased with the result. May yet resort to the dogs clippers this time...
silly really, you can not have a hairdresser come in to your home,
but it's ok for a painter+decorator,or plumber,or electrician etc. to
come in.
My decorator doesnt stand within 6 inches of my face for 30 minutes
try again fcc
None of those tradesmen will be within 12 inches of you for about 30 minutes though, will they?
when my plumber comes I go outside for 30 minutes or go on the other floor. Bit more difficult with a hairdresser
I've heard of several tradesmen insisting that people stay in a different room from the one they're working in. You need a hairdresser with very long arms.
C'mon bob you are not telling us you have a regular visit from your plumber .. 8-)
Is decorating your home essential?
No.

Plumbing and electrical work certainly could be essential.
No, but my decorator hasnt been for years so precovid but even so hes never got close and personal and run his fingers through my hair.
My guess is you have just caused a tingle in many a spine with many who would perhaps like their decorator to run his fingers through their hair.

Not me though .. I will do my own decorating .. and I have no hair !
If you have not decorated for years he might not like taking on such
a big job.
//he might not like taking on such a big job.//

Are you thinking of my plumber unblocking a toilet?
you're certainly plumbing the depths now, strange how you will not let anyone cut your hair ,but you will invite them into your toilet.
A can manage without a haircut for a few months but tend to use my toilet daily so really need it.
Bobb, I get the impression we are being wound up now.

Anyone can tell the difference between essential repairs and a haircut.
Personal hygiene is a daily thing.
