I found out today that 2 of my neighbours in the Close have had both their vaccines, the other is having her second one tomorrow.
One of them who is 90 yrs old, nearly didn't go for hers as she had heard you have to wait 12 weeks now, but as she already had her appointment she went along and got it, no problem.
So is this vaccine dependent on which part of the country you live in?
While she was waiting for her jab, she mentioned to a nurse how she was unsure if she would get it and the nurse told her there are all sorts of rumours going around about how there are not enough phials, some have forgotten to order enough cotton wool balls and other paraphernalia that goes with the jab. So, if these are just rumours, does this mean the vaccine programme is going ahead as it was planned too? Or do you know different where you live?

Just thought I'd chip in OH's experience. He's had a reaction to 1st dose, had 2nd dose on Tuesday - so a bit of time was taken u with checking rash etc. (it seems they have to fill in a 'yellow card' to notify a reactor). Otherwise, it's a very slick operation - but it fell down a bit at the end with the 15 min. wait since everyone was squashed in together - social distancing was nowhere near possible. The Oxford one doesn't need a wait and so they could really rush it through. I know a nurse who is being sent out with a needle to vaccinate at the end of next week, so I'll ask her.
In reply to that "Geezer" TTT,who never listens to anyone but himself,I went for my Jab today at 2.29 and asked, out of curiosity why 2.29,was told they were doing 1 per minute,I was out at 2.45 after the compulsory 15 minute rest.
P.S. I AM NOT A LEFTY,whatever that is. END OF.
