That's a statistic for lawbreakers surely?
how many tests have the other countries done.?

This makes more sense and you can compare tests, deaths etc.
https://www.worldometers.info/coronavirus/

it also doesn't help with people breaking rules.
Well done Boris for testing more people is a valid comment.
It almost sounds like you are gloating Canary.
You obviously find some pleasure in these figures.. ?
Glorious statistics.
In industry when a production line breaks down for an hour, they can proudly proclaim, '' zero waste!''
So we ordered 50 million doses and we have a population of nearly 69 million.
That's ok then because some have been vaccinated already !
I still don't know of anybody being vaccinated in my area.
Never mind sharon, there happening, we know some who've been done, and my mums due next week. Theres no plans to vax children .
Your figures are for Oxford vaccinne only, we ordered several before any were approved so you should be delighted we backed this horse.

Total orders for 7 vaccinnes in 357 million. Is that enough for you???

So what the check is the hold up??
I heard Tesco offered their refrigerated lorries to help, but oh no BoJo says it's all in hand!!!! In hand my foot.
There is no hold up apart from having to wait for them to be produced!! The Oxford one was only approved this week so do you think they should of produced are 120 million doses for us allready (plus all the millions other countrys have ordered).
Wait and see whats happening by end of January rather than complaining allready.
We're ahead of other countries on vaccinnes and some still say how rubbish we are!
Sharon. Forget Bojo Hancock etc. The UK has lots of highly paid people in the NHS who's job it is to organise vaccinnations for flue, MMR and now Corona. Best to kepp you, me and the politicians out of it and leave it to the professionals. The signs are good so far. We're leading the world on vacinnes (apart from Russia who have some untested one a heard)
Just posting raw figures about the number people who have taken a test and it returned positive without any context is not helpful. We are testing a far higher percentage of the population than any other comparable country except maybe Denmark.

We also have our world beating mutation to contend with and if it did indeed start here then sadly maybe other countries will also see a surge.
//So what the check is the hold up??//

The causes of the hold up are many and various. But the root cause is that the vaccination programme has been left to the NHS and Civil Servants. Neither should have been allowed anywhere near it. Here’s a taster:

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-55516277

Why does one need to be proficient in “conflict resolution” and “preventing radicalisation” (to name but two of many) in order to be deemed proficient to administer a jab? I did this last week and it was suggested that the info I provided (similar to the BBC report) was somehow bogus or incorrect. Well since then there have been many similar reports and letters from people making similar remarks. I learn tonight that 25% of the population live in a constituency where there is no hospital, clinic or GP practice earmarked for Covid vaccination.

Be prepared, boys and girls, for massive disappointment. I hope and pray I’m being overly pessimistic. However…..
