What will yours be?

I have decided to spend less on unnecessary stuff, get this house finished and make more time for myself for pampering / reading or whatever I don't seem to set aside time for now.

Did anyone see that Wolf Programme that was on last night? It was fantastic, I'd really like to find more time to watch programmes like that in 2021.

I bought my OH the Breaking Bad box set for Christmas with every single episode made. We've watched three episodes so far and we're hooked :-)
lol Lady you know me too well...
Thank you both.... have a test on way for myself and son (who has asthma). Not very good at being physically unwell, as I rarely bother lol xx
Crud....95% of a Sturgeon...... Unless it's Nicola then it's 100%
LCG; most people seem to try and resolve something to deny themself. You seem to be wanting to indulge yourself. Is it because of all these ads which say "because I'm worth it!"?

What a ridiculous observation, Atheist.

Why don't you indulge yourself with a little salt and vinegar to go with that big chip on your shoulder?
It's a nitpicking paradise on here right now Lcg :0)

How does wanting to read more, watch more wildlife docs and make my living conditions better for my family equate to wanting to indulge myself?

You're not wrong, Bobbi.
Try my baby boomer thread haha
I really do hope you get your house sorted, and that you get to spend more time with your family as I know you work a lot of hours.
Sorry I've nearly choked on my latte here
I last made a New Year's Resolution years and years ago and i've stuck to it every year since. It was never to make any more New Year's Resolutions.
If you're going to lose weight, give up smoking, change your outlook in any way, shape or form, why wait until the New Year?
Actually I gave the smelly thing up in March, I'm a late starter Ken :0(
Usual, lose weight.

Well, most of my extra work is done from home now, MM, at a time to suit myself. I invariably jump on it very early in the morning or after the little one goes to bed and when he takes his morning nap. As a family we spend lots of time together. We had a lovely walk around the neighbourhood earlier to acquaint the little one with the snow that fell overnight. Loads of families were over the park building snowmen. I feel lucky to live in such a nice area, so close to lovely woodlands and countryside.

The extra work has really helped to pay for all the renovations, but I must admit it's tiring and I would like extra time to do the things I enjoy. When the house is finished we are going to kick back and enjoy the fruits of our hard labour.
I fully understand, during the first lock down from March to November I worked from 5 am till 5pm, since my new job started I log on at 730.
It’s hard to get a decent work life balance.
All the research says a positive resolution is more likely to be kept that one that is phrased negatively. but neither are that likely to be kept.
My resolution is never to move house again. Ever. It's a pants idea. Particularly if you do it just before Christmas and can't get a removal firm.
