Opened special centers to get the vaccine, just turn up if you want it, while we faff about yet again. Nightingales just laying empty that could be used for a start. Wouldn't be surprised if Hancock sends them out by Deliveroo.

it depends, tiggs - one of the issues that have slowed things down at the moment was the realisation that some people have allergic reactions, so that they have to wait around a quarter of an hour or so after getting the jab to make sure they aren't affected. Maybe this won't happen with the Oxford vaccine; maybe it will happen worse.

There's also the question of whether they'll need more people to do the jabbing than they've got now. If they haven't, can it be done any faster just because a different vaccine is involved?

Yes Jno, there may inevitably be some who will be allergic to any of these vaccines but for the majority it will be fine.

I had a flu jab around 2 weeks ago and that was done at my local pharmacy by the pharmacist. Would be good if the vaccine could be distributed to pharmacies as well as designated hubs.

You seem to think this is the way forward do you?
Imagine you informed everyone to come as they please for their vaccination. We have 32,000 patients registered at our surgery.
If the surgery sent out a text saying your vaccine is ready whenever you want it. What do you think the result would be with everyone heading to the surgery tomorrow?
You really have me wondering at times.. Correction.. all of the time!
