Question Author
ok so what can be done to get it back again???
are you talking about yourself here??
Question Author
erm might be ;~)
Well you can remember how much it was and for how long and how long ago, so that can only be good? ;-P

Sustained use of almost any drug, from alcohol and cannabis to ket and crack, will affect your brain long term. Nobody will ever really know for sure because everyone is different; amounts, strengths and tolerances will alter different people's reactions.

However, the human body is very good at healing itself and I would guess that a healthy diet, exercise and mental stimulation would only help aid recovery.
(Erm and stopping taking drugs helps too)
ROFLMAO @ pixi!!!!
i don't believe there are many techniques to help improve the short term memory - most of the books etc focus on improving the longer term memory skills... sorry think its just something you are going to have to live with

cheers guys btw i aint touched any in about 11 yrs mind
How come I didn't get any freaking stars?
natalie_1982 I thought your answer rocked. *****************

Apparently doing puzzles like Soduko and other quick tea-break games help. Keeps the mind active.

Or you see on tv adverts for similar brain stimulation on the Nintendo DS. Ah, the power of advertising...
Thanks wilsarnie, looking back I think it was a jokey question.

*sigh*

I know for next time..... ;-)
is there any reason for you to think that the short term memory problems are related to the events of 11 years ago? have you had this problem ever since or is it a recent problem? It may be caused by over work or anxiety, or maybe you have more going on noiw and so more to occupy your mind. Why don't you use triggers to help you remember things and also, is there something that you are consistently doing? Like losing car keys etc, that is really just down to disorganisation.
