The Christmas spirit hasn't quite passed me by, thanks mainly to 3 of my grandchildren who came to dinner. They brought a game with them called 'Double Dares' which consisted of jellied 'sweets' of different colours in sections of a circle, and a spinning arrow, Wherever the arrow finished, the player had to eat the 'sweet' signified. The 'sweets' were categorised as; Cola or Dog Food, Strawberry or Chilli, Tropical or Sardine, Lemon or Rubbish, Watermelon or Cabbage and, the easiest of all to chew, Mouthwash or Toothpaste. All bar Grandad Ken4155 played - i played my diabetes card - and the faces of those who had to eat the dog food or the rubbish were a picture. However, for whatever reason, the cabbage 'sweet' was the one which had most of them gagging and my grandson actually rushed outside to vomit. As party games go, it beats the hell out of pin the tail on the donkey :-)))

Didn't stop me from insisting on my fair share of Black Forest Gateau, though. Very selective this diabetes of mine :-))
:-) x
You've made me laugh, Ken. Glad you had your gateau. As a fellow diabetic I have very much enjoyed my (single) mince pie yesterday and my strawberry flan today - we don't like Christmas pudding :)

(is it really dog food?)
