Disgraceful that this sum of money should be spent on unveiling her statue in the midst of a pandemic and economic crisis.

the bone of contention seems to be the unveiling and not the actual statue as that was paid for long ago.
At least its unlikely Blair will get his statue in Sedgefield.

"from what i have read of Mrs T and Dennis relationship he was a rock and fully supportive of her."

A widely held misunderstanding of the phrase 'He was stoned most of the time', nothing to do with rock, unless it was crack cocaine.
doubt Mrs T or Dennis knew what crack cocaine looked like, a nice Gin and Tonic or whisky perhaps
TTT i support you on this, but obviously our poster does not.
Allan at 11.55am today.

Did he compare Thatcher with Hitler and Stalin?

I'm happy to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume I've misunderstood...but if I haven't misunderstood, what an absolutely awful thing to type, and it speaks volumes.

TTT - in view of your comments I will not be inviting you to the wake which I shall hold (socially distanced in the street with my neighbours)on 31 December to lament our departure from the EU.
Me

"blaming all on one woman makes no sense"...

Allen
oh no?

Not Mr Hilter for WW2?

Not Joe Starlin for the Soviet Union?

Not ... well, you insert the name, emmie, and you have the questions...

Oh, shouldn't the question read "Thatcher continues to make me puke"?

DD those words seem to be directed at me, Yes he sort of did, made him puke no less.

Diddly, i wouldn't want to be in your shoes for love nor money,
we will have see what happens on transition. it won't be smooth it won't be easy, nor will im sure will it be without its hitches,
but out we will be. No going back. The majority wanted out, they got their wish, it was a democratic vote something many seem to have forgotten. If Cameron hadn't called it, perhaps this wouldn't have happened. what happened to him i wonder, slunk back into some corner licking his wounds, so have your party, and wish us ill if you must, but it time to take back something of the country that i love so much from as TTT would say the unelected suits in Brussels.
time to put enmity aside and put the country first.
