A Survey commisioned by Channel 4 News, says the Cons would now lose almost all of the Northern seats they gained in 2019, if the there was a snap election now . And will certainly lose them at the next scheduled election. Wonder what went wrong then ?.

The Tories wouldnt have gained any of these RedWall seats in the north of England if the Labour Party didnt have old(IRA)scarecrow in charge at the last election.Momentum and Corbyn,a cancerous stain on the Labour Party in the 21st century.
They were always only loaned votes to get the democratically arrived at decision moved forward. Boris will have exceeded all reasonable expectations if he manages to retain a significant number.
Seem's to me that many dissaffected Torys are'nt happy with the way the pandemics been handled. Some will feel its been to soft so may prefer Labour, SNP, Libs, PC, but most think its been to restrictive but he only party supporting lifting lockdown's is UKIP. So if they think it through they might switch to UKIP but sadly not Labour. But UKIP wont win many seats if any
In answer to the OP, nothing went wrong but there are two factors that won the Red Wall for the Tories, ie, Corbyn and Brexit. They won't be there at the next election and the Red Wall will be rebuilt. Even so, that may not be enough for Labour to gain a working majority, or even a majority. But Labour will win back lots of those seats that were lost.
“Getting Brexit done” was about one thing only: telling the people that their once in a lifetime chance to out two fingers up at whoever wasn’t going to be denied.
Sadly though there is no future in it beyond that fact. Brexit will only benefit the sort of people who aren’t your typical Labour voter in these constituencies
Why are some people here obsessed with Gully's place of residence? Why don't some of you tell us where you live?
Because he's always on here sl466ing off the UK and telling us he lives "abroad" and how wonderful it is there. Personally I think he's a spotty oink in a bedroom in his mum's house thinking he's Che Guevara.

21.46 TGT , What floor do you live on, in your high rise block of social housing in Peckham ( me old china?)
I suppose of you are associated with something to do with national security, ones whereabouts would be a closely guarded secret.
This raises more speculation.
