..walked through a spiders web.
It wasn't one of those spider webs that entangle you, it was a spider web that was really fine and just clung to you.
After wiping it away from my face I wondered if other people appreciate spiders as much as I do.

they spin their webs on the balcony, i often get stuck onto them without knowing they are there.
And the spider said to me, '' I'll grant you just one wish.''

What would it be?

Consider yourself blessed Emmie ;-/
not really 1ozzy, they usually get me in the face, yuck
How lovely to see a thread promoting spiders, thanks 1ozzy, I love them. They kill flies and that's good enough for me. Sitting in a room with a fly buzzing around is such an annoying experience. And their stunningly intricate webs glistening on the shrubs in the garden lift my heart. I would not knowingly kill one and I do the usual glass and piece of paper to return any interloper to the garden if it's in the way. Otherwise it can stay where it is, indoors or out.
thank heavens we don;t have the large scale ones they do in Oz that would be a step too far.
I'm always doing it, they just love hanging round my back door
I too have walked through a spider's web unknowingly and then felt the critter scampering across my face! I screamed! I don't love them, but I don't hate them either. I won't kill them and if possible I will try and put them outside, but normally I live and let live.
Spider webs are gorgeous...I've not seen any in ages. I don't particularly want to walk into one though. But I once put a jumper on, and there was a spider in the sleeve.
i don't mind them if they are outside, leave well alone, some though have strung themselves across the ceiling lights on the balcony and i often end up with a face full of web.
Looked at the title and immediately started singing
I just called to say I love you :0))
Considering the differences between your spiders and our spiders, ours are just fine.
i have a fear of them and have had since a child. No creepy crawlies neither.
Spiders /Rats etc hold no fear for me since running electric cables and such through old (and new) buildings in some of rhe creepiest places under floors, attics etc... I don't think i'd be as dismissive if in Oz though.

As for webs, dew in the morning on them looking through a window they do look awesome.
