There has already been a plan put forward to use fast results testing at the point of entry to that kind of event. I am not sure if vaccination will affect that ie will the test think you have covid if you've been vaccinated.

Mine was to sd.... gness, I hope nobody suffers due to covid, nobody deserves to. We have someone with such a needle phobia, she literally has to have gas first. She doesn't deserve an awful death- very few do.
Protect yourselves as much as possible... but although I have asked about the trials, I haven't had a definitive answer about how they were conducted.
But at best, a vaccination will not give you full immunity and I would suggest that those wanting to avoid it, continue to stay safe.... rather than expecting everyone else to help protect them (this reminds me a little of Dave's "spoiler threads'!)
Look after yourselves, don't rely on others, please.

There's no evidence of that - yet - but there is evidence that the degree of infectiousness is much lower in people with mild (or asymptomatic) Covid - so there is hope/belief that mass vaccination will get the R0 rate well below 1 and the virus will be much reduced in the community.

Airlines don`t require people to show vaccination certificates before travel so that is not a correct analogy. Vaccinations are only 'recommended' and the only one that I know of that is supposedly compulsory in some countries is Yellow Fever and I haven`t been asked to show my Yellow Fever vaccination in 35 years.
I`ll keep shopping in the high street for as long as it's there. It's good to be out and about and I don`t want to sit at home buying things from my sofa. Nobody thinks about the effect on the environment with all of those delivery vans making individual journeys with tonnes of packaging (much of it plastic) which will have to be disposed of somewhere. I only buy on the internet what I can`t find on the high street.
17:16... maybe so, dave. But I would hate for us to get to a point- for any reason- where it becomes acceptable to bully, persuade, pressure, inconvenience, force, or even guilt people into having an intervention they don't want. That change in principle would have very far-reaching and possibly devasting results.
I still think- each to their own.

It remains to be seen what airlines will do but at the moment you have to have a negative covid test within 72 hours of arrival so in effect a vaccination won`t make any difference. You either arrive without covid because you had a negative test result, or you arrive without covid because you had the jab. Same result, just different ways of getting to it.
//Yellow Fever, Cholera, Typhoid etc etc//
As far as I know, the only long standing disease for which vaccination is actually required (i.e. entry will be forbidden in its absence) is Yellow Fever.
I don't really understand the problem. Leaving aside the interim period where vaccination has not been completely rolled out to those wanting it (when it would be unreasonable to impose restrictions anyway) those who have received the vaccine will be protected and so have no need to worry about who has it on the aircraft or in the pub or wherever they are. The only people who may contract it are those who have declined protection and that's a risk they take.
I have not been innoculated against smallpox, MMR (though I've had two of those diseases) or Tuberculosis. Nobody has ever suggested that I shouldn't travel or enter a pub because of that. The only people at risk are me and others similarly placed.
I shall have the Covid vaccine as soon as it is available to me but I don't expect to have to produce a certificate every time I want to drop in for a pint. In any case, if my jab is administered via the NHS it is most unlikely I shall receive a certificate. There are enough noises being made over the "huge logistical task" of actually delivering it so I doubt they'll be able to knock up a certificate to go with it. If other countries that I want to visit insist on it no doubt I'll have to go to a private travel clinic but it has been made clear that the vaccine will not be available for private distribution until the NHS has had all it need.
